Sleeping grandmother is in a state of suspension between two realities, and sleep is an obvious and yet subtle annoucement of the closely approaching and unavoidable death. Despite the work just as the cycle as a whole cycles around death and illness. Sleeping grandmother emanates harmony and quiet balance and can have even soothing effect on the spectator.
